About Sam Cavanaugh

Sam Cavanaugh has been a resident of Hilton Head Island since 2001.  Following his transfer to Hilton Head Island from Washington, DC with the Marriott Corporation, he and his wife, Amy, fell in love with the Lowcounty lifestyle and vowed to never move again.  After a very successful 10 year career in Sales and Marketing Management with Marriott, Sam joined Mortgage Network in 2006 as a loan officer where he was able to turn his passion for real estate into a career in the mortgage business.

In 2010, Sam left Mortgage Network to run a loss mitigation company, which specialized in assisting the real estate community with the fallout from the great recession, where he became one of the foremost short sale experts in the Lowcountry.  While Sam enjoyed partnering with the local real estate community in working through the tough challenges of the recession, in 2015 with the market normalizing, Sam was able to return home to Mortgage Network as a loan officer.  Sam’s vast experience in all facets of the Lowcountry real estate market brings a great deal of perspective to all his clients and business partners.  Sam, his wife and two boys reside in Spanish Wells and are very active in the Island’s tennis and boating communities.

Meet Sam's teammate Mariah McKenna

Mariah was lucky enough to grow up on Hilton Head Island, and has been a local Islander since the early 80s. She joined Mortgage Network in 2002, and is currently a Mortgage Specialist with The Cavanaugh Team. Mariah enjoys all things water and feline related.
